How to Get VoxGems in Voxiom - Earn & Spend Guide
How to get VoxGems in Voxiom.io: score 100 points per gem in competitive modes, why Survival pays nothing, crate prices in the shop and whatgems actually buy.
How do you earn VoxGems in Voxiom.io?
You earn 1 VoxGem for every 100 points you score in competitive matches — the wiki states the rate as “per 100 points, you get 1 gem”. Both team modes and battle royale feed the same pool, so the fastest earners are simply the players who score the most points per hour. Gems accumulate on your account and are spent in the in-game shop, never inside a match.
Two boundaries matter when you plan a grinding session:
- Survival mode pays nothing. The open-world mode is for building and relaxing; only competitive queues convert your scoreboard into currency.
- Gems are cosmetic-only. They buy crates and skins — nothing that changes weapon damage. If someone offers “free gem generators”, it is a scam; user scripts that fake your gem counter only change the number on your own screen.
What is the fastest way to farm gems?
Because the conversion is points-based, score density per minute is the only real variable. In practice that means:
- Queue Capture the Gems. Gems score 30 points each versus 1 point per kill, so a single delivered gem run outearns a minute of pure fragging (the scoring is broken down in our CTG guide).
- Escort the carrier instead of chasing kills. A successful delivery scores for the team, but your personal scoreboard also credits the play — playing the objective is literally the farming strategy.
- Survive to the late circles in Battle Royale. Placement points compound; repeated early exits cap your points per hour even with a good kill average.
What can you spend VoxGems on?
The shop sells three cosmetic crates, and crate pricing scales with the skin pool quality inside:
| Crate | Price | Known odds (Ultimate crate) |
|---|---|---|
| Basic Crate | 50 VoxGems | — |
| Advanced Crate | 100 VoxGems | — |
| Ultimate Crate | 300 VoxGems | Precious 47% · Magnificent 35% · Extraordinary 15% · Covert 2.5% · Artifact 0.5% |
The drop table above is documented for the Ultimate crate on the wiki’s shop page; the published odds top out at a 0.5% Artifact chance, which is why Ultimate crates are the gamble tier. Skins themselves are pure visuals with six rarity grades of their own (Noteworthy up to Artifact) — our skins guide covers the full acquisition picture, including Discord giveaways.
Beyond crates, the player Market (unlocked at level 15) lets you buy specific skins from other players instead of gambling on crates, and VoxGems are the medium of that trade.
Do gems carry between modes?
Yes — VoxGems are an account-level currency, not a per-mode wallet. Points scored in Capture the Gems, Battle Royale and Free For All all convert at the same 100:1 rate, and unspent gems persist between sessions. The wiki’s VoxGems page is the reference for the rate; treat third-party numbers with suspicion, since the figure has not changed since the currency was introduced alongside the skin system in v0.5.0 (April 2021).
Can you buy VoxGems with real money?
Yes. The shop allows direct gem purchases — the wiki notes the store offers paid gem top-ups alongside earned currency. Everything gems buy is cosmetic, so spending is optional by design.
Why did my gem count not move after a Survival session?
Survival is the one mode excluded from gem payouts. Check that you were in a competitive queue — Capture the Gems, Battle Royale or Free For All — before assuming a bug.
